Winter Olympics Find a Library Home
The Brighouse Branch of Richmond (British Columbia) Public Library is just a few kilometers from downtown Vancouver, and it lies within the O Zone, a 60-acre celebration of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
In recognition of this once-in-a-lifetime event, the library is rebranding itself the International Living Room, where visitors can relax, watch Olympic events, catch up on news, see the Coach exhibit on sports science, and enjoy Canadian books, magazines, and movies.
Libraries are, of course, information centers, and the Brighouse Branch is a fantastic clearinghouse of Olympic information. And thanks to its web site, you don't need to be physically at the Olympics to have the Olympic experience. Explore the site for information and plenty of links about the Winter Olympics, its events, and Vancouver--in case you can make it after all.
