Mississippi woman wins iPod from @ your library, new raffle ends tonight

The winner of the first atyourlibrary.org e-newsletter iPod raffle will be trying to keep her new audio and video player away from the prying hands of her husband.

Dorothy Vance, from Brandon, Mississippi, was the November winner of the iPod raffle. “I was very excited about finding out I won.” Vance said. “Especially around Christmastime!”

Her and her husband both enjoy listening to audio books, which she says will be the main usage for the player.

“I’ll probably spend my time trying to get it away from him,” she says.

Vance works at a library in Mississippi and enjoys reading other people’s perspective of libraries, which prompted her to sign up for the e-newsletter.

“[The e-newsletter] has a lot of good information in it,” she says. “I’d definitely encourage everyone to sign up for it. I’ve actually sent e-mails out to a lot of people I know with a link to make sure they join.”
